re:publica is Europe's largest digital society festival. re:publica participants represent a cross-section of (digital) society, which include professionals from economics, politics, business, hacker culture, NGOs, media, and marketing, as well as bloggers, activists, artists, and social media experts. re:publica26 will be taking place from 18-20 May 2026 at STATION Berlin with the Motto "Never Gonna Give You Up".
In 2026, Ars Electronica celebrates its 30th anniversary with the theme "Future Begins." The event transforms Linz into a hub for art, technology, and society, focusing on "Negotiating Humanity." It explores the challenges of a new era marked by technological advancements, ecological crises, and changes in human identity, encouraging discourse on shaping a humane future.
From September 3 to 7, 2025, Linz hosted a vibrant international media art festival with exhibitions, performances, and conferences primarily at POSTCITY. The event explored the intersections of art, technology, and social issues while supporting young creatives through interactive spaces, fostering innovation and discussion on contemporary challenges.
